 The 2009 Evo vs. STI Hypermeeting at Tsukuba Circuit in Japan is literally just around the corner. AVO's race car has been sitting on the dyno for the last week, with tuning and other preparation going on. A new tire manufacturer has been picked for this race - we will be running Hankook Ventus TD tyres for the first time. They are rapidly gaining acceptance in Japan for their blend of cost and performance.
 The front lip has a new, lower lip spoiler around it to keep air from getting under the car at high speeds - we are starting to develop some seriously high top speeds whenever there is a straight. We have also found that the cam belt has already stretched a bit even though it's only been run at track events, and the cam timing on one side was off half a tooth. The belts are being replaced for this reason.
 Also fitted was a new racing fuel cell which took a good 20kg of weight out of the rear. Subaru's are not exactly rear-heavy in the first place, so we are adjusting the setup to compensate for this.
