New AVO380 Turbochargers! プリント メール

AVO Turboworld is proud to announce the new AVO380 v2!

The AVO380 is one of our smallest upgrade turbochargers for turbocharged Subaru's, yet it is quite a large size increase from stock. With 44 lb/min of air flow, it's a hefty increase over your stock turbocharger, up to 35% more! More air into your turbocharged motor means power - a lot more power. But how much air a turbocharger can flow is only part of the equation, for the efficiency of your compressor and exhaust housing design is just as important. That is why we've gone back to the drawing board and re-designed both of those elements.

What is new and improved? While it still offers the same tried and true Garrett™ twin-ballbearing CHRA, we've changed everything else! The compressor housing has been re-designed completely for performance and fitment. Thanks to advances in turbo technology, our engineers were able to tighten up the tolerances to an even finer degree than before. This translates to more efficient response at lower rpms, and a bit more holding power at higher engine speeds. Another change was a necessary improvement to fitment in the engine bay. While the original design was quite good, over the years there has been changes from Subaru in the engine bay, causing available space to get tighter and tighter. Thus we tightened up the design externally, especially at the bottom where we made more space for cars with the new air-pump systems.

But the compressor side is only half the job. Even more effort went into improving our exhaust housings to quicken response. That was not our only goal, as we also wanted to improve the already legendary reliability of the AVO exhaust housing even more. This lead to our engineers experimenting with more exotic metal alloys. Eventually they settled on a stainless steel construction for a couple of reasons. The new stainless steel casting withstands higher temperatures than our old nickel iron mixture - much higher - and it also is very easy to repair if you do manage to develop cracks in the housing. A bit of welding and it's good as new!

  • Flow Rate:  44lb/min
  • Compressor Housing:  0.60 S AR
  • Exhaust Housing:  AVO 3-4
  • Turbine Wheel:  46.95mm

Designed to bolt in to your 2005-2009 Legacy GT, Spec B, and Outback XT, or 2008+ WRX/2009+ Forester XT.

All these changes equals an much better turbo than before, but for the same price!
